I am an emerging artist currently based in Ottawa, ON. I graduated from Concordia University (Montreal, QC) in 2023 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts.

My practice is based on the distortion of reality. I make large scale oil paintings that border abstraction and figuration. In my work, I reference family photos, private spaces and overlooked scenes and objects. I alter these things into barely recognizable versions of themselves in two processes: from life into a photograph, and then from photograph into a painting. Utilizing glass, plastic or reflective materials, I explore the way light shapes real objects into impressions. This modification of forms acts as a tool to visually express my questions, confusion or concerns about personal identity, time and environmental issues.
